SLD |“Good Design” for the “Common Good”

Leveraging on the new WID theme “Design as a Global Conversation”, SLD joined hands with designcool magazine to host a dedicated forum at SLD⁺ – their Corporate Culture Centre in Shanghai, in conjunction with #DesignShanghai. Opened to public, the sharing featured prominent industry representatives: Prof. Fan Wenbing – Professor of Architecture Department from School of Design, Shanghai Jiao Tong University; Korean designer Jung Donghyun – President and Co-Founder of PLAT ASIA; Japanese designer Tomohiro Katsuki – Founder and Design Director of PRISM DESIGN; Nick Hu, our Director of Design. The forum focused on “good design”, exploring from different perspectives how a people-oriented, eco-friendly, and functional design approach can contribute to the “common good” of today’s society.

As IFI Past-President, our Founder Steve Leung also spearheaded a series of WID-related conversations with HKDC 香港設計中心 and Hong Kong Design Institute – HKDI, discussing the future of the interior design discipline with emerging professionals and young designers in China and Hong Kong.
