“Making it REAL: Sustainability in Practice”
TAFE NSW – Design Centre Enmore | Australia
The Interior Design department at the Design Centre Enmore has a lengthy association with IFI WID through its membership of the Design Institute of Australia, a peak body representing designers in Australia, which is affiliated with IFI at an international level.
A long standing tradition that final year students organize is the annual IFI WID event for TAFE NSW students and teachers, and the broader interior design industry in Sydney.
The theme chosen by our students for this years event is “Keeping it REAL: Sustainability in Practice”,
in alignment with the International IFI WID theme for 2019 “Designing Spaces, Changing Lives”.
Four industry speakers presented their takes on the theme of sustainability, which was followed by a panel discussion. Industry speakers this year were:
1. Andy Marlow, Envirotecture
2. Simon Anderson, Anderson Architecture
3. James McWhinney , Interface
4. Nicole Harris, Instyle textiles
Our generous speakers discussed the practical realities of implementing sustainability in practice.
